I was thinking of upgrading my return pump to a reeflo hammerhead since my buddy is hooking me up with one.

So My question is I know you can tee off them and run a manifold and other things, the skimmer i have runs 3 pumps and they have mesh wheels.

If I was to tee off the pump and run three returns to the skimmer to get flow to each spot on the skimmer, will a reeflo pump work even tho it wont have the mesh style wheel.

The reason I was thinking of doing this is the skimmer needs almost 2000 gph to run it and I will have enough to run it and the manifold and return

The skimmer is a ati bubble master 3000 and it uses 3 psk-2500 pumps

Do you mean Bubble Blaster, or is it possibly the Water Blaster? (For some reason I can't find pics of a ATI BM 3000...can you link or post one?)

One is a skimmer pump not unlink the PSK's you mention. The other is a feed pump, much like a standard return or utility pump.

I guess regardless, I can say the skimmer will not work without the mesh-wheel/needlewheel pumps. That's what makes the bubbles.

If you're replacing a feed pump, then yes it should work but I don't know if it's more or less stable/better than having a dedicated feed pump.

A Hammerhead is a lot of flow...if you don't really need it, don't bother with it.

That said, I think they do make a needlewheel impeller for their pumps. :)

Thanks, I was just looking to combine everything into one but if I need a neddle wheel for the skimmer that wouldnt be good for a return or a manifold.

Looks like I will keep the skimmer the way it is and just upgrade the return pump to something not as big as a hammerhead but bigger then what I have so I can run the manifold and return

Also here is a picture of the skimmer
