Is hooking up one canister filter two tanks possible even if it was freshwater fish is it possible

Nothing wrong with trying.....hard to say if there will be enough flow though. Test it! :)

That said, you're probably better off selling the canister and using the money for powerheads.

No. You need a sump or over flow or have the tanks connected via plumbing.

Think two glasses of water.

Since you are siphoning water from two tanks and returning to two tanks through one canister, I would think that it would be difficult to ensure that equal amounts of water are being returned to each tank. After a while, one may overflow, if the rate of return is not the same on both tanks.

It’s possible, the intake goes in one tank and the output in rhe other. Now, use a water brigde to keep both tanks at the same water level. Use pvc, clear tubing, etc.

Put a gamma lid on top and has worked great with a mag 9 pump on a gate valve.

This one is for my pond.

I occasionally watch his channel but I would never recommend relying on 99% of his diy projects. if they were reliable and effective he'd be using them himself.
That would have nearly overflow the first tank to work.
