I want one fish for my 20 long that is personable and fun. I just would want one fish if I did this idea and was wondering what is a fish that would suit this? Maybe a more active fish that can rule the whole tank?

Blenny? Maybe a bicolor? Tailspot has massive personality, but a bit small. Don't know if 20L is big enough for a midas.

Hawkfish?

A purple/exquisite firefish would look great in a tank like that if only they would stay out of their cave.

Royal gramma would be a looker.

Those would be fish I would get in a community tank. If I wanted them I would get a community.

tailspot blenny
orchid dottyback
Canary Blenny
court jester goby
Gold assessor basslet
flame hawkfish

My clowns have great personality.
Creepy neighbor bertram too now that he doesn’t hide anymore

firefish are gorgeous and hardy maybe worth a look see

Would you acctually enjoy a 20 gallon king with one hawk fish in it?
I would offer a buddy, but add that other fish first, then the hawk. No shrimp with a flame hawk
