Hey everyone,
I've been having this hammer frag for almost a year and up until recently, its health has been decreasing. When I first started to see its health decreasing, I added a new BTA and within the first week, it decided to move right next to one of the heads (the one that bleached) and stung it for about a couple of hours after moving to a different location. I believe that this might be the main cause for its decrease in health. After that, the head that was stung started having polyp discharge and kept getting smaller and smaller until today, the head completely bleached. But at the same time, the anemone started to decrease in heath too by expelling a lot of zooxanthellae. I've also been noticing that one of the other heads has been receding, its polyps are never inflated, and its overall health has been receding. What my question is, what can I do to increase its overall health and get it back to a happy coral?

I hope someone has a good suggestion for you— otherwise it sounds like the all-too-familiar going, going, gone. :(

I have read online about people treating anemones with ciprofloaxin for suspected disease problems.
