I know it may be extras but I'm trying to make what I have work. Can this 14 gallon be held on this table? From my math with tempered glass it seems fine but I want practical sense too. It will be fully cushioned and cover so just weight concern.
You're looking at putting close to 130 lbs or more on that glass depending on how much sand and rock you have in it. I doubt the welds on those cross supports under the glass were ever intended for that. Makes me nervous but then again, I can't see the table in person.
You're also going to have a tank on a glass table. If you ever do any work on the tank and drop anything at all that will break the glass you will have an instant problem. It hard enough as it is to make sure nothing breaks the tank, why make it more difficult and have to focus on not breaking the stand as well. If you are dead set on that look then maybe swap the glass out with some thick acrylic (although I have no clue as to the strength / pressure / load. I just know it doesn't crack as easy. As other said you also need to make sure that the table itself can handle that weight.
