OK... So i got it narrowed down to the two skimmers i want to get.

1) Octopus Extreme 160 - $284.95
Aquacave.com

2) MSX 160 - $284.39
MarineSolutionsinc.com

They are both almost the exact same price. What is the difference between the two besides you guys saying that the pump on the MSX is supposed to be a tiny bit better?? Which one should i get?? I might decide to pay alittle more and get the MSX 200 but im still deciding.... For now its these two. So which one and why??

The octo is a replica of the msx, so you're not going to see a fundamental difference.

I would get the msx with the mesh and pinwheel options. You can get the 160 for $269, but if you're still debating.. I'd bump it up to the 200.

MSX is only $15 more, will the bigger one fit? If so, get the 200. ;)

I would skip the Octo, I hear the CoralVue customer service is falling behind.

The Octopus Extreme 160 comes with the mesh and pinwheels. Also the MSX 160 is $284.39 including shipping and the 200 is $313.26 including shipping. Thats about a $30 difference. I would also rather have a black skimmer but it doesnt really matter. Size also doesnt matter cuz im going to build a 30 gallon sump around the skimmer im gonna get. I already have the tank im just waiting to see which skimmer. The 200 is shorter than the 160 but wider. Ive heard that the Octo 160 and the MSX 160 is the exact same skimmer.
