I missed doing my water change yesterday like I usually do, so I did it today. I noticed a rock kind of out of place when I was vacuuming the sand, didn't think much of it. Then saw a pretty good size snail on some rocks. Whoa!! That was massive snail.

Finished all the maintenance, wiped down the glass and the stand. Grabbed a cup of coffee and sit down to watch some walking dead and I hear a rumble noise.

Guess who has to re scape a tank tomorrow, this guy! The snail knocked over a nice arch I had going on.

Yikes! Glad no glass was broke! Might want to consider some epoxy to bind them.

It definitely got the glass, but no scratches. I checked with a flashlight to make sure I lit up the area good. I might get some epoxy, I'm not sure.

I've drilled my rock now for the past ten years on all my builds and using fiberglass driveway markers. Stack the rock or Invision how you want it. Using a 1/4" masonry bit, drill holes in the rock. Cut the driveway markers with a hacksaw to length, rinse them off and stack the rocks like puzzle pieces.

Works pretty well. Here's a tank I did ten years ago that way:

It was a giant turbo snail. I'm going to give him to the lfs and get some smaller ones. I've probably had some for 5+ years.

The irony it's that I didn't want to rescape the tank, but I needed to. It's time to frag back some colonies of trumpet coral I have and add in some others.

If anyone is in North East pa or north Jersey I'll have at least 50 frags available tomorrow. Price will be $5ea, multiple heads per frag
