I just set up a 120 gallon factory dual overflow tank with factory adjustable durso pipes. The left overflow filled up and was draining several minutes before the right. Now they are both draining but the left is draining a noticeable amount more water than the right. I've tried moving the pipes up and down and nothing changes. Any ideas??

I presume the tank is level andoverflows are the same height? Is a pump pushing water towards one of the overflows. Try changing the direction of your pumps or returns.

Yes tank is level and both flows same height. Both flows have the same water level in them now also. The return lines are the same length and pointed away from the flows.

Thats about it. A pump can push more water into one overflow. Or, your tank is slightly out of level. Even an 1/8 inch will make a difference. Also, are your overflows plumbed with flexible or rigid pipe? Even with rigid pipe one overflow can have a stronger siphon. Flxible pipe can have a slight kink slowing flow down in one overflow as well.

Ok, I feel a little dumb on this one. I think 2 things contributed to this.
1: the pump is much closer to this flow
2: the return pipe was not completely seated in the bulkhead.
The return was litteraly filling the flow from the bottom

I have two overflows on my tank right next to each other and one drains more water then the other one. I don't see a problem with this. As long as it drains as much as the pump puts out and your tank water is staying level then why is this a concern? Just curious?
