Got a small (about 2 inch) one spot foxface from dr reef friday. Acclimated and added to tank. So far so good but hides alot which is to be expected.

I feed spirulina brine shrimp and pellets to my clown. I dont know if I will continue with the pellets but will with the brine shrimp.

I have plenty of GHA in the tank for grazing. My main question is is the GHA and spirulina plenty of food for the foxface at this point? He is constantly grazing when I see him.

This morning it looked like my green zoa had been chewed up a little bit. Didnt have alot of time to investigate. This could have been my imagination as well.

So basically is the GHA and brine good for now with the foxface?

No, I don't think that would be a varied enough diet on the meat or green side. I would add nori to a clip a few times a week, and alternate the brine with mysis, krill, spirulina at least.

A varied diet of both proteins and vegetation helps immune system and color.

I've had a one spot for about 3 weeks. I feed spirulina brine every few days and alternate with Reef Frenzy. I put a small sheet of nori in every few days but he rarely touches it and seems to prefer the turf algae growing on the back glass. He grazes on that all day. I also run my feeder in the middle of the day with the pellets from Neptune. He eats those as well. So far seems to be doing well. I'm definitely anxious when it comes to making sure he eats. I had bad luck with Foxface in my old 65gal. Pretty sure I didn't know what I was doing at the time.

This. Most foxfaces become pigs overtime and will eat whatever you drop just about but nori is a cornerstone. Now about the zoa's... Watch it, it may develope a taste... Had a gold spot rabbitfish that light switched and started eating corals rapidly.

I agree with @Lost in the Sauce
I would not rely on GHA as a staple in the foxface diet. Sometimes they eat it, sometimes they do not.
Nori is a much more reliable herbivore option, in my opinion, as all of my foxfaces (6 bicolor [Siganus uspi] and 1 one-spot [Siganus unimaculatus]) eat nori with a healthy appetite. They also love my homemade blended mix of raw seafood frozen in cubes. In my QT's I also feed flakes and carnivore pellets, all consumed by the foxfaces, which are quite fat and healthy in appearance.

I acquired my one-spot foxface from another R2R member who wanted to rehome it after it took a liking to a favorite zoa. I've read that some other corals can be at risk as well. All of my experience so far is in QT's without coral.
