hi all wondering your ops on keeping a kole tang with a one spot foxface in a 300l? (dislplay)

I have a regular foxface. The tangs, Purple, Blue, Vlamingii, Chocolate dont fight much with it but they do compete for the same food, mostly peacefully. If you want to try I think it would be ok, preferrably if they are similar sized as sometimes the "big guy"will bully the new/small guy to eliminate competition when they are first introduced.

ok what size is ur tank? thanks. I think ill buy them both as babies

Likewise, I think it can do just fine. Once the fish are tolerating each other it's a non issue. I just spread out the food aggression with stockings of nori in a few different places. Only one not in the vid is the bicolor foxface (too cryptic for its own good)

~110 gallons.
I like getting young fish and watching them grow up together. We recently added some Anthias that she likes.

I've got a one spot foxface with my white tail kole tang in an ~80 gallon 4 foot display and they get along great. kole tang did some minor chasing of the foxface at first but as soon as he saw the spines it was over. One spot foxface is the ultimate peacekeeper in the tank. no issues at all going on about a year now. Also, the bristletooth combo with the more narrow beak of the foxface handles pretty much any type of algae I've come across.

I had this exact pair of fish years ago with no issue. Foxface outgrew the tank so I passed him on to another reefer.

300l sounds like a 3’x2’x2’ tank to me and I wouldn’t unless you plan to upgrade to a 4’x2’x2’

300L is roughly 75g. As far as compatibility, they should be fine. I had same pair in a 20G QT with no issues. Problem is space, with time your foxface will outgrow your tank, so make plans for when that happens.
