can i setup qt and use it for both fish and coral if i alternate? Like if I quarantine fish then use carbon to clean out any meds then use it to quarantine coral.

I mean you technically could, but I wouldn’t advise it would be a pain in the butt. You would have to drain every time switching and a thorough cleaning would be needed

I would say no. Any copper left that the carbon does not remove, will kill inverts.

What if I didn't treat with copper just kana metro and furan2? I would like to have two separate qt but i don't really have room. I guess I could build a tower rack lol

If your talking bb tank with pipe fitting and a sponge filter you could technically completely empty it and use new sponges as necessary (I buy sheets and cut) there's always some sponges culturing in my sump just in case I get some stock in.
