Working on my new 240 build and I can’t stop this valve from leaking. Put plumbers tape on it and replaced the o-ring and it still leaks. Looks to be coming from where the o-ring is. Please help

Remove it all together. One way valves on a saltwater tank are doomed to fail. Configure your system so it's not needed.

I will try the Vaseline but if that doesn’t work I will just install a ball valve

Just asking, are those maybe two halves of a union that you are using to connect to the valve? If so, those valves are not meant to be used with an o-ring seal. You need to screw them into a pvc adapter and use a non-hardening pvc sealant for a leak proof connection. But I agree with the others. Those valves don't work long term. Better to remove it.

DO NOT USE VASELINE!

Petroleum based products swell rubber. If you wish to try lubing the rubber, use a non-petroleum base lubricant.....such as Plumber's grease. I personally used Leslie's Pool Lube.

Different than the ones I have seen. Like I said, just asking. :-)
