Online clean up crew

You won't find a better place with better prices for CUC and shipping than Reefcleaners

another +1 for reefcleaners. They just put together a custom package for my 600 gallon, and the customer service was superb. In addition, everything arrived alive and is doing extremely well!

I ended up going with reef2go and I'm probably determining I am not a online buyer. They really packed a lot of stuff in next to no water. The Mandarin was DOA, not sure how they thought it would make it a day in so little water. I have a feeling the crustaceans will make it but everything else won't. Unfortunately they all were in such bad water I pulled them out and dropped them right in the tank, I've never done that before but it seemed to be the lesser of evils. I will have to stick to the LFS from now on. I did get a lot of CUC though, I think the snails will not make it from the looks of them. I'm giving them 3-4 hours to move before they meet their maker I don't want a huge ammonia spike from all the crap that may die. Kind of sad I was most excited about the mandarin, what a bummer. I figured I would get a shipment similar to how a fish store gets there's, this was in about 1/20th the water. I guess they tried to keep the weight down.

Yes give the snails at least 4-5 days to get moving! The order I had, the snails survived but they were packed just as poorly. Thats why i only used them one time.

The snails were much larger too, which is part of the reason I wanna get some out of the tank, my CUC I feel is a bit too big for the tank now. You should have seen how much water was with this mandarin, the snails were bad too but I know they are a little hardier. I really don't think the mandarin would have survived had I went to the fish store got that same amount of water and let it sit in the bag over night.

I think you'd find out that most people that use that site for purchasing arent typically happy with the livestock they get and/or the manner in which they were packed. I've ordered from them a pair of times, and while I was refunded my money for the animals that didnt make it, I wasnt happy with the manner in which they were shipped either. Put me off from ordering online for nearly two years before I started another order. Other places tend to ship with more water, better containers and more insulantion. Dont hang up the cleats yet. I find that LFS usually have the basics, but if I want something more I either have to A) Order it from the LFS and their suppliers or B) go online and buy from a place that either specializes in inverts or a larger well-known retailer that sells livestock and inverts (liveaquaria is a good one for this).

I have never bought anything from them besides a small cuc. I wasn't pleased with packaging or shipping but they did survive.

Live aquaria is the best place imo, for live stock.

John from Reefcleaners will hook you up. He will answer your questions on stocking and steer you the right way. He also hooks you up on your orders to cover for any DOAs (if there are any). Usually you get a little extra with what you order. He is great for your CUC needs.

+1 for Reefcleaners. I ordered a huge cleanup crew for my 600 gallon, and everything was packaged well and arrived alive. I was/am a very happy customer.

Imo drop the hermits. I hate mine... having to find shells for them drives me nuts. I don't like the look of empty shells all over. And it bothers me when they crawl all over my zoas. Wish they would just kill each other lol. I can't bring myself to killing them so I'm stuck with them.

Absolutely. You'll see snails on the glass but not Nassarius. they're carnivores and only stay in the sand until they smell food.
Not always true... at night my nassarius almost always climbs the glass and sometimes middle of day also.
