So I have a lot of new corals coming from assorted online sales this weekend and I want to know how best to take them from shipping container to tank.
Float, drip,dip, rinse,display? That's my thought.
Is love in depth thought.and expirences .

Corals I float do revive dip and rinse inspection then into tank. The water after shipping when exposed to air becomes toxic quickly. Many will avoid dripping to acclimate now days. Sps and fish/inverts are more sensitive to swings in ph and alk.

Interesting. So skip the acclimation. I assumed the salinity is the same and I did hear something about ammonia build up with shipping fish, just didn't know the same happened with corals. Do you dip in their water first then yours or just discard the shipping water.

I normally use some water from bag mixed with my water and revive dip about 10 minutes rinse inspection and into tank.
