So now that the tank is slowly settling in and gettings ready to become a nice lively tank I was looking around online to see where all out there sells online fish. Now I am lucky that I have a semi-chain store (Jacks Pets) as well as Gerbers Saltwater Warehouse close to me, but I always like to keep my options open to see what is out there. Now I know the risks of online vs store...also understand that the fish online are cheaper due to less overhead but they are expensive to ship.

Obviously there is Reefs2go and Liveaquaria...as well as reefcleaners. Does anyone have any experience with saltwaterfish.com bluezooaquatics.com

Bluezoo is a good site and a sponsor here. They have lots of nice stuff

I would do LA or Blue Zoo. Gerbers was nice when I stopped by there but way to expensive. I have used Blue zoo with success.

QT those little guys.

I've ordered from unique corals and liveaquaria also and had good results. Qt is always best

Live aquaria is really the best online vendor, they offer free shipping for any purchase about 225, 14 days live guarantee, and reward program.

Pacific island aquatic and divers den. Both as good as it gets

Live aquaria, blue zoo, and reefs 2 go all good places. Personally love live aquaria just because they will give you money back not just store credit unless that's changed. Also customer service is top notch.

If you don't have a wicked pair of designer clownfish already please check out my website

Alpha Aquaculture :: Shop Online

I don't sell wild stuff but I would try Pacific Island Aquatics if it were me for wild fish. You should def try and buy from one of the sponsors right here on Reef2Reef. So many great sponsors in this community.

My wife wont let me have a wicked pair of designer clownfish budget for fish, lol, or else I would be all over some nice clowns.

I've order from Uniquecorals, Liveaquaria, and also Reefs2go. All have been great, I've never ordered fishes, mainly inverts and corals. Uniquecorals was awesome, they sent me extra frags of corals last time I order! :)

Alpha Corals have the best clown fish! Thanks for the awesome black ice clowns!

AQUASD is by far the best online ordering I have recieved. Shipping was fast, winin minutes of the corals hitting my tank they were expanding and no color loss. I ordered 11 pieces and not a single loss. I highly recomend them!

I ordered 2 bags of live sand from blue zoo, they realized where I was located, called my phone, and said that it would be cheaper for me to go buy them from my LFS because shipping would cost me an arm and a leg going through them online. They refunded me my money for shipping and the sand and sent me the rest of my order. They are amazing IMO for doing this. They cost themselves a sale JUST to save me money overall. This is rare for online vendors imo. I will return without hesitation.

I've ordered from Pacific island aquatic. Kevin was a great guy to deal with, kept me updated with my fishes and shipment.

Anyone looked at freshmarine.com ??

Personal story...SaltCritters.....GREAT COMPANY! Got an email to promote their big new years day sale on other forums and craigslist or whetever, email them the link and if you did that they would send you 3 free frags with any order. I did one on my local board and on craigslist thinknig that if free frags didnt make it in my tank, no real loss. I added a comment to my order (lb of sand and 2lbs rubble rock) that I was using it to seed my tank, so if they could pick appropriatly that would be great. Next day got an email from them saying that they were going to add some rock and sand instead of the frags to try and get good pieces for me...and boy were they not kidding. Probably ended up with 2+lbs of sand and close to 5lbs of rubble rock. Also enclosed was a small bag with 5ish chips of coraline on it with a hand written note on the bag "let me know how this turns out" TOTALLY earned my return business and a story I am glad to share with others.

This is awesome! I will check them out for sure :)

DD on LiveAquaria is hard to beat. Shipping is reasonable, fish have gone through a basic QT/observation and are hand-picked as excellent specimens and 14-day guarantee. The regular LA fish are great too, but if you can find what you want on DD, it is top of the line.

Would like to update my prior post ref my latest purchase.

In the relm of about 10 days after putting the sand and rock into the tank I noticed there was some things on the side of my tank (see thread) that have still not been identified. The rock turned from a nice colorfil piece to as my wife described it, "green white and moldy looking". I had done a wate change about 5-7 days prior and had a small aquascape avalanche. As I was putting it back together I saw something on the back of the tank, didn't think much of it and wrote it off as I had sadly scratched the tank. Well fastforward to 5-7 days later and I saw that these lil things were all over my tank...48hrs later and all of my fish are dead. Spoke with the online retailer, totally dodged anyform of responsibility although their stuff was the last thing in the tank. Will never purchase from them again, and will be happy to tell this story as well
