I'm sure this has been discussed to death but I figured I'd get some fresh discussion as I'm looking at making a few new purchases. What website is best for new fish purchases specifically tangs, not looking for to exotic just healthy specimens?

I've had good luck with saltwater fish.com they run some good specials got a naso tang for 9.99 and blue hippo for 19.99 both healthy and beautiful

I have had success with both liveaquaria.com and saltwaterfish.com. saltwaterfish.com is cheaper but liveaquaria.com has the better guarantee.

I believe liveaquaria has a 14 day guarantee. They are extremely pleasant if you do have a loss within those guaranteed days. You have to jump through some hoops with saltwaterfish.com to get a credit.

I've ordered from saltwater fish.com, vivid aquariums, coral imports and thatfishplace.com. I highly recommend all except thatfishplace, terrible quality, terrible guarantee. Coral imports is questionable, the fish arrived alive but they were in rough shape. The captive bred banggai cardinals are fed live foods, wasn't prepared for that. Coral imports 30 day guarantee on most fish, the rest are 14 day and difficult species are DOA only.

Saltwaterfish sent me a seahorse covered in fungus. I'd say go with DD but quarantine .. Even tho they say they do.

I second this. I like them both. Unique has the healthiest fish IMO. They are fed and watched closely before offered for sale. I got a pair of black ice clowns, mimic tang, and a friedmani dottyback all from them. All were not only very healthy, but you could tell they had been "well loved". They were all tame, friendly, and happy when I got them! How many places can you say that about?

@Fish Nuts has crazy good prices. But I've heard there are customer contact issues.

Live aquaria/divers den is a main stay, but was purchased by pet co, so IMO it's only a matter of time.

Saltwaterfish.com I plan on placing an order with them soon, will update as such.

Check your local reef club, bound to be somebody with a wholesale account, turns a 40-50$ fish into a 7-15$ fish.

I had a good experience recently with Zoacollector. A sponsor here. specializes in Hawaiian fish like chevrons and Achilles since that is where he is based but has access to other regions as well.

I got a Regal Angel from NY Aquatics last week, and she is very healthy and fat! I'm very pleased!

I got a naso and desjardini sailfin from liveaquaria was pretty happy with the whole experience.

I recently bought 2 ignitus anthias from Peter at Coral Imports. He was very helpful all along the way and even after receiving the fish, which were in really good condition upon receipt, still continued to give me advice on feeding, which led to my breakthrough with feeding these little guys. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them. In fact, most of the rest of the fish for my new tank will come from them.

www.bluezooaquatics.com has been my go-to recently, but I'm going to check out a few of these others that I haven't used.

I've also used Live Aquaria with good success. I stopped using Saltwaterfish.com and Pet Solutions.
