Hi Everyone, looking for recommendations for online reef safe fish vendors. My lfs leaves much to be desired and the next closest is 2 hours away. Y'all have any go to vendors? What do y'all look for when looking at fish online? Appreciate it.

Ive only ever ordered from saltwaterfish.com and biota. Saltwaterfish.com has generally been pretty good, but you will definitely want to qt your fish from them. Ive had fish come in pretty rough.

Reefbeauties.com
They have a 15 day guarantee (on non-expert species) and great prices with a relatively low amount to get free shipping.

I stopped buying fish online a coupe of years ago. Maybe see if the store 2 hours away can order fish for you. I would drive 2 hours to buy fish vs having them shipped. I have a lfs that will order fish and I buy them while still bagged from the wholesaler. I get a break on price as the store doesn't have to acclimate and worry about losses. I also think it's better for the fish as they avoid an extra acclimation and move. Just throwing out possible options :winking-face:

I appreciate the responses, I'll look into my lfs ordering somethings for me. I've tried to catch petco before they release their fish but getting fish from there is definitely not ideal

Saltwateraquarium.com (carries ORA) and DrReef (https://drreefsquarantinedfish.com/). I only buy quarantined or farm raised fish. I hope to never go through a velvet or ick or any other kind of outbreak again. It's a horrible thing. They have both been great and saltwateraquarium has free shipping after $179 live. They have lots of nice corals and inverts as well. All inverts are kept fallow. I haven't tried Biota yet but I plan on it.

I've ordered from @Dr. Reef many times and will continue to order from him. Fish arrive eating everything I feed them. I wont order from anyone else. The prices are very fair to.
Just checked out the website, I'm definitely going to have to try ordering from them in the future. I typically qt my own fish in copper/observation tanks, but I may go this route. Thanks for the recommendation. Prices are not bad at all for properly qt fish.

Biota, ocean devotion, and fishotel.
I also recommend Adam from Ocean Devotion. I received both of clown fish as well as my Banggai Cardinal from him. Absolute joy to do business with. Easy to communicate with as well.

I got 4 super healthy, eating lyretail anthias from him a few months ago.

I've also had good experience with nyaquatics. I've had a purple tang and a few wrasses from him that I've had for a few years.

I buy from collectors first ....
