Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on purchasing fish from Live Aquaria? I've been looking for a Naso Tang but can't find any local. Surprising because just a few months ago I was seeing them everywhere. My lfs has been trying to source for me but says his suppliers are out of stock. Any advice would be helpful.

Always have had good luck with live aquaria.
We are also at the mercy of the shipping companies, ups, FedEx.
Do not order around the holidays.

Marine Collectors has ones that they fully quarantine in stock

I will check them out. Thank you.

I've had a bad experience with aquatic collection with a real bad velvet issue. I normally go over to Bay Bridge Aquarium.

I've had disease issues from every LFS I've ever purchased from. You have to QT unless you purchase from a vendor that QT's before the fish gets into your hands (such as the place suggested above).

The suggested vendor is very good. Me I prefer to pay less and QT fish myself.

To be honest I tried the qt process and everything was going good. As soon as I moved the fish to my display everything took a turn for the worse. I'm sure I must've done something wrong but I was still new and had very little experience. Maybe I will give it another shot once I have a little more under my belt and develop a better qt process.

This is going to be unpopular, but i have used Ebay several times and everything still looks great. Anemone's, Coral packs, a spanish hog fish, rare hermit crabs, I look all the time. live aquaria is really really expensive, and their livestock quality is mediocre imo, they often list cheaper fish at extremely high prices due to "blemishing" lol hlle recover patients at a 200% mark up.
