Hi everyone,

I'm very new to the hobby. My tank has been up and running for 3 weeks now. I have a 30 gallon tank, I added about 25 to 30 pounds of LR with 40 pounds of LS from the get go. My ammonia never went over .25, I never had a nitrite reading in the 3 weeks of testing I have been doing, my nitrates also finally started picking up as the ammonia started to drop during the 3rd week. I took my water in for regular testing (only have a Petco in my area) after the 2nd week to get a second opinion on my water parameters, their tests confirmed what I was getting on my API Saltwater Master Kit, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and between 10 and 15 nitrates. They did their test on Thursday and said I could finally add a couple fish if I wanted too.

Having a 3 year old son I picked out 2 clowns (one is named Nemo naturally and the other is Dom from F&F, although I tried to convince my son to name them O'Connor and Dom but I'll take what I can get). I also added a CUC a week before my fish and got them from ReefCleaners.

I started doing my research for additional fish (I planned to wait at least 2 weeks before introducing more possibly until the start of April to be safe my tank can handle the bio-load). I only wanted to add 2 more, the Flame Dwarf Angel and the Royal Gramma as well as the cleaner shrimp because I have heard they are very great additions.

I have been looking for a good online retailer to get these new additions. In my own research I have come to find LiveAquaria and FishyBusinessAquatics to be possible suitors for my business but I'm open to suggestions. I mostly chose these two because they have very good prices (which is a big factor) and from what I've seen they both have fairly decent reviews.

Thanks in advance for the help and sorry for the rambling.

Welcome to R2R! And congrats on the new tank.

Dwarf angels really need a mature tank to thrive. They will wear themselves out hunting and pecking for food on the rocks if nothing is there for them to graze upon.

I have had good luck with Blue Zoo for fish the past year. However I do run them thru TTM, Prazi Pro and MetroPlex treatments before adding to the DT

I liked Live A divers den!

Welcome to the club

I appreciate the responses so far!
@Big G I definitely have no problem waiting to add the Angel fish as I know they can be a little aggressive.
@lapin I saw Blue Zoo I haven't looked too extensively but I will give them a look.
@Neo Jeo I've done a ton of research on clownfish and have never seen a blue clown. So I have to ask if the Blue clownfish is real where in the world could I find one like that?

Lol I get asked this question often .
That blue clown fish is fake, the color is not the fish lol. If it was real I would have 50 of them lol

BUT there is hope! They are on the brink of breeding a blue one. I hope to see it one day!
