Wanted to know how many people buy fish and corals online and what your experience is.

Never boughten any fish. But buy most of my coral online now. The vendors on here are awesome man. Shipping costs suck. But if u purchase a few things at a time it's not that bad

I like to buy fish locally.Corals i buy mostly from live sales that vendors have on here. cherry corals, wwc , yourreef , legendary corals, aqua sd and jason fox.

I don't buy any fish online, so I have no opinions on that. But when it comes to corals, I am sure I have spent over 5k in corals in the last year or more. Heck I just spent over $800 from a r2r sponsor on 18 acros. I would say get any corals from a r2r sponsor over anyone else, unless you are getting them from a LFS. There are a lot of r2r sponsors that do ebay auctions, facebook auctions, r2r live sales. In the last 1.5 years I haven't had a single issue and most of the vendors will throw in a freebie. Every single vendor I have bought from are excellent at communicating, even if it is just sending them and email asking where to place a certain coral. This is just my personal experience, others may vary.

I have a select few that I order from and have had very good fortune with them. For fish - Zoacollector, NYAquatics, Corals - Joe Knows Reefs, Unique, Ultimate Corals, Reef Pets, Greg79, JFox, WWC and I have a local store, Nemo's, that I purchase from. Communications is key with online purchases. You need to understand where they are to make sure your setup will mirror it for success.

I have heard great things about live aquaria/divers den (which is wysiwyg), regarding corals, most of the guys on here are good and fair.

Ive never bought fish online (my LFS has a QT system) but as far as online goes:
1) cherry corals is amazing. Ive never had any issues and Todd always goes above and beyond. Clean facility with barely any algae on their frags. Also, found a few micro brittles in their last batch :)
2) cali kid has really high end things and the best thing about them is that they frag substrate along with the polyps so there barely any healing that needs to be done. They also tossed in an extra frag because I had to wait a little bit before they could ship out.
3) yourreef has great prices, not a lot of higher end things but I dont order from them anymore because they have a lot of algae and pruning is needed before I can even attempt to add them to my system. Also, I got zoa pox from one of their frags :(

I've always got awesome fish from bluezooaquatics.com
And just recently bought 13 nice sps frags for $400 from reefcorner.com. The packaging was outstanding and all the pieces were WYSIWYG. And were exactly what was pictured.
