I’m very familiar with Agri patents and agriculture that is being patented is after genetic modifiation. It’s not something that was just found in nature and patented. The agriculture that is being patented are essentially new, different beings. They are ‘creating’ a new plant for example Monsanto’s corn seed.

Putting the ethics of parenting live aside, that is not even close to the same thing that is being done here. Not even a little.

I am simply refuting your statement that only GMO can be patented, which the link I provided states that is simply not the case.

However plant patents are really not on point of this thread.

Is there a reason why nobody is contacting the overseas wholesalers who supply the online chop shops? Not sure if anyone has the skills to ID these unphotoshopped pics, but for $5/inch, max 3 inches per frag, and a 20 frag order min you could use em as xmas tree ornaments. Vendor link below:

There is a free scan software online that I use. You upload pictures to and it tells you if the picture has been modified/rendered or altered and with what software. Not saying its 100% accurate but it gives a pretty good idea I have been using it for a while.

I think the price will drop in a year or so for two reasons:
1. Acros used to be very hard to keep because the public knowledge and equipments were not up to speed compared to the requirements for Acros. In recent years the technology and information online are so sophisticated that anyone follow the rules will have success.
2. Acros mostly are fast growing. It doesn’t take long for an 1” frag to grow into a softball colony and because most people over stuff their tanks with small frags it is inevitable for the hobbyists to start trimming the colonies down which become new frags. Once supply is up and demand comes down the price will eventually come down.
Vendors may still want to charge premiums on the sticks but I think hobbyists will figure it out soon and just start trading with each other. It is actually already happening in where I live. What is priced online for $75-100 I can usually get for $20-30.
