Hi everyone,
I am new to the saltwater/reefing world. I am in the process of cycling my first tank but I do like to do a bit of “window shopping” until the time comes I can put critters in. I saw the list of B2B vendors, but has anyone ever bought anything from www.coralsanonymous.com. They have really cool pieces, with really great prices. Almost seems too good to be true. Which it probably is. Lol. Any thoughts out there?
Thanks and happy reefing

Exactly why I was thinking. Aquarium depot looks nice though. I like how they describe their critters. Those are my favorite sites. The ones that aim to educate and not just take my money lol.

I just checked that site out. Can’t really tell if it’s real or a scam. Prices aren’t so cheap that it seems fake. Definitely a red flag that there’s no testimonials or reviews on anything that I could find. I hardly ever purchase corals online but recently took part in SD aquatics sale and they have awesome pieces and really good prices.

I've not heard of that vendor, but their prices don't seem "too good to be true". Their WYSIWYG page doesn't seem too out of line with the standards. $700 for a gold torch appears to be the going rate, their scolys are a little cheap, but not they're also not very impressive specimens (no inner rings), etc.

That being said, I don't know if I'd buy from a vendor without an address or phone number.

EDIT: Their logo is cute, though.

Cute website. Adorable logo... looks like a collective of young folks giving it a go. They have some nice torches and shrooms. I wish them well and I'll keep an open mind for the future.
I, too, am hesitant to buy coral online. We've all been sucked in by pretty pics with filters and macro lens. I am more confident buying from R2R sponsors. They invest in the group, we invest in them.

You have to be careful with the photos you see online. The cameras people use to take these photos are capable of rendering colors that the human eye can't detect.

I received this wonderful mushroom and it didn't "pop" like it did in the photo online.
I took my phone and took a picture of it and "bingo" it looked just like the photo online. Hmmmm

Took this off the site, crazy!

I looked at the site, nice mix of spendy and affordable pieces. UPS overnight shipping, my East coast coral source uses the same and always gets here.

I also like that you provide a Military/Gov. discount.

Your purchased this off the site and it looks just like the picture?

sorry for the confusion, just posted that pic from their site, I have not purchased anything from them. Sorry for derailing!

I'm so glad to see CoralsAnonymous is an R2R member now :) I have been eyeing a lot of this on your site. Just waiting to throw down money when I am a little more into the hobby. Only 3 months in. But I'm glad y'all are in California. I'm in Nevada, and I am leary of live critters being flown from across the country.
