Only the green ones grow

The two zoa colonies shown in the picture putting the tank little under a year ago. At the time they were the same size. Clearly the green ones have done very well. The orange ones seem healthy but aren't reproducing.

I have lots of green things in my tank All of which seem to do better than the non-green things. Is this just my imagination or has anyone else noticed anything similar?

How do I make non-green things grow?
