My Nitrate has been zero for years and I was feeding a bit more to try and raise my Nitrate to about 2ppm. Thanks to a faulty test kit I raised it to 20ppm. I did a large water change and brought it down to about 15ppm. Because my tank normally consumes the Nitrate, should it come down on its own or should I do something else to drop the Nitrate? Thanks in advance.

How bigs the tank?

Ah so i wouldnt be worryd about it just keep up with routine wc (if you do them) prob the only thing to wrybout letting ur nitrate dip below phosphate when it does get lower will cause some unwanted blooms

If your no3 was 0 for years it will come back down.
Watch your po4 though

I'm currently using GFO for phosphate. I would guess I should continue running it?
