I set up a quarantine tank, got it all ready and after I dripped acclimated my new very tiny clownfish I put him into my main display. Force of habit to just transitioned from freshwater and never QT anything? Now he's hiding between rock work. My question is if it's too late to take him out a qt him if I can catch him and if so if he did have ich is my display already contaminated? He did look very health no white spots and was very active in LFS in a tank with pajama cardinals. My LFS doesn't keep inverts with fish so she m assuming they dose copper I'm not sure tho

If the clownfish is eating and seems healthy everything is fine. Quarantine is recommended but people like me never quarantine for years in this hobby. Pick out a good healthy fish and make sure the fish is eating well and stress free. Garlic liquid from Kent Marine will cure fish from ich (not 100% guarantee though). Ask LFS if they use copper.

Yea he is still hiding and has not come out yet to eat but this is first day in new tank how long before I start to worry if he does not come out to eat

I have a friend on Instagram Reef_Dreams that had his Leopard Wrasse hide for 1 week before making an appearance. Give it some time and it's likely he will come out. Clowns in general are pretty hardy fish just give him an Anemone that the clown can host after the tank matures about a year. Wish you great luck on your marine aquarium!
