I have had this brain for about 1 year and a half and, for the past two weeks it has shriveled up with the skeleton showing more and more
Is there anything I can do to save it? what could be wrong with it?
i'm running marineland LED, i have a phos-ban reactor and a protein skimmer

parameters:
ph: 8.1
temp: 79f
calcium: 410
phosphate: 0
ammonia: 0
nitrate: 0

one of my favorite corals please help!!!!!

It looks like it is receding, not beaching. If your Phosphates and Nitrates are truly zero than it is probably starving to death. I would recommend moving it to a low flow, low light area and start feeding your fish more to raise the nutrients in your tank.

If it extends feeder tentacles at night than I would offer it some food. Don't force it though.

How old is your tank?

Most LPS like brains and plate coral like to be on the sand also. The rocks can irritate them a lot more than being on the sand.

How long have you had those Marineland leds? Don't really think those are suitable for any reef tank except maybe an all softie tank.

I have had the tank for about 5 months, I upgraded from a 30 gallon which i had for about 2 and half years

What are your Alk, Mag and SG reading? What kind of Marineland light is it?
