Has anyone seen this before. 3/4 of it looks amazing. Not sure what it is. Everything else looks great.

Mine is doing the same thing right now. I accidentally set the LED light intensity too high and gave mine a sunburn. Could that b the case?

Has it always been in that spot? The logo on the left could have stung it if it was closer at one point

Yeah, looks like some tissue recession on the bottom. Causes are many from physical damage which may cause it to become infected, other corals stinging it to inadequate lighting. I assume the green coral in the middle of the pic is also an open brain of some sort and looks to be doing fine which probably means your water, placement, etc. are okay.

Doesn't look like any other coral is touching it (although I would monitor its placement at night for sweeper tentacles in the area) and I would try feeding it some mysis twice a week when its tentacles are out and continue to maintain stable water parameters. Good luck, it has some beautiful colors.

This happened to my back in February (two different species of lobo) and took about three months to heal up back to normal. I regularly feed my corals (including mysis), so if that's what happened, hopefully it will heal up with some care

thanks everyone. I don't think it was stung and the lights haven't changed. It's been in the tank for 8 months or more now. The other brain was just added but I made sure lots of space. But before I added it something in my tank spun it around so maybe the flesh tore on the rock. I also feel it a few times a week. Multiple types of food

Are those 2 lobos or a lobo and acan?
