Open brain coral lightened

Happened to my brain coral too. Turn down the light a bit if you notice it becoming transparent.

Otherwise check to ensure no params are swinging.

I moved it to a shadier part of the tank and restored the red and green to the light and lowered intensity slightly. No parameters are swinging, all been pretty steady. Alkalanity falls by about .1 a day currently but I'm not dosing right now to let things settle.

Post script: it was well and truly dead. The LFS checked it out. They gave me a credit. Likely culprit was just a new tank that is too clean and too much lighting.

Follow up: since the open brain died and was removed I had a bit of a bacterial bloom. Related? It seems to be lessening now. The tank is new ish (2 months) so could also be from substrate being churned up.
