Open brain not looking good?

I've got a red/green open brain, I think it's a trachphyllia. I've had it for three years now and over the past month or so it just looks awful. It looks like it's starting to bleach as the vibrant red is now pink and kinda splotchy. It never opens up, stays shriveled all day. No new additions to the tank and I don't believe anything is nipping it. All of my other LPS (euphyllia, acans, caulastrea, chalices) look fine.

The only thing I can think of is that it's not getting enough light on the sandbed? I'm using 2x250w Reeflux 12k on Coralvue ballasts.
 
How old are the lights? Has the water chemistry changed much recently? Any change in where you get top off water, etc?
 
In addition to glfat's questions, have you changed the flow pattern? Have you ever fed it? Have you changed your rock around and changed the amount of light that falls on it and/or the flow pattern? Have you tried moving it to see if it likes a different spot, better?
