Open Stand Idea

Any thoughts on if this would work for an open concept stand? It'd be for a 36" x 20" x 18". I want an open concept oversized stand. Would use a 2-3" concrete top or granite. Any thoughts?

Once you put a top on it, I don't see why it wouldn't work. It doesn't give a load rating anywhere on the listing though. But I've seen 40 breeders on 1x4 frames before with no issues.

In the description it does say that “evenly distributed, each leg can bear a 1000 lb load.”
Must have missed that :D Then yes, this would work good for what you want to do :)

Any thoughts on this one? It is more of the dimensions I like and a good finish option, but not rated for as much weight. At 800 lbs I would still think a 45 gallon tank would be fine (roughly 400 lbs of water leaves plenty of weight to spare for sump, equipment, and rock).

Page not found on this one, but the first one looks and sounds pretty solid.

I would want a ply top on before doing anything like granite to avoid any pinpoint pressure that could fracture, and keep in mind granite can water stain, needs to be sealed, and occasionally resealed.

Lots of cool stuff w/ concrete can be done.

Here’s a photo of it. It says it’s rated for a load of 800 lbs. That seems plenty for a 45 gallon tank.

Good tip with the plywood and stone top. I have been toying with the idea of concrete. Think it would add for a nice industrial look.

I use a butchers block for my 32 gal. It works great and looks unique. That stand looks very similar.

Any concerns with the tank being 36” but the stand being 48”?
