Anyone run a stand with out doors so you can see the sump and such?

I found a tank that fits my space but its missing the frt doors, and I was thinking that maybe it would be cool to see the sump working.

I know its been done, I guess I'm looking to see some smaller stands that have a open stand

cool if kept up.
This is an older picture and would do it myself, it my wife wouldn't like it:)

I haven't gotten around to putting doors on my stand yet. The nice thing is it forces me to keep the sump area policed up more than i would if I could just close the doors and forget about the mess....

I love the look but after mentioning it to the boss aka boss it was a big no. LOL She said I'm lucky Im getting another tank lol

Yep, done many times myself.

I'd say get the stand now, run as is, and maybe add doors later if it comes to that.
You can have doors made through most cabinet supply or mill usually and they usually are not that expensive.

I have three 125g tanks with extruded aluminum stands. They are all open with no doors. I did put in a little more into plumbing - red and black pvc pipiing, etc. I love it. I find it makes maintenance so much easier, from changing filter socks to water changes. However, it is obviously completely a matter of taste as to how it looks.

I didn't leave the entire sump area open, but did design the sump area so that the refugium portion would be view-able through the paneled door, with that panel missing.

I also did this open panel thing on my equipment cabinet, where it currently has a large glass fish going to eat a blow fish.
