Open wound on green slimer

I have this small frag but it has developed a type of wound I'm not familiar with, the p.e has not been effected once and it only showed up a day or two ago, I did add a new light over it about a month or 2 ago and I am leaning towards high light exposure, but im not sure. Also my tank has vermited bad so i am use to those poking through the skin and that's what i thought it was , but this looks like a open cavity, so I'm not sure please let me know what you think, thank you!

looks like it got "stung" by floating tissue from other corals. If the damage spreads in the next few hours or overnight, frag it to protect the rest of the coral.

Possible but there's nothing close to it and hasn't been any warfare from me or any corals in the past week. I will watch and post update pictures in the same fashion to see the changes for the next day or so.

I have only seen this happen to a stick in my system when a fleck of torch tissue becomes a floating menace and lands on a stick. In my case it’s never a coral like a green Slimer, it’s always a high end stick lol
If your system is healthy it should heal pretty fast.

No corals close and no floating pieces of coral and no lps on the tank. it could have been salt that fell from tank edge and landed on it. Honestly idk but it's going away.
