Opening the window doubled my Alk consumption.

My 45 gallon tank is 20 months old and has a rock solid stable Alk of 8.0. The windows have been closed straight the last 2 months, but my air conditioner broke Wednesday. I have since opened the windows and seen my Alk consumption literally double. I knew it would help as the fresh air raises the pH of the water, but thought it was insane to see it double my Alk consumption, so thought I'd share!

Definitely bumped up your PH when you did that. May want to start checking your PH, might be worth it to run a hose from your skimmer to the outside air.
