Operation 40 Breeder has begun. Due to my current live situation I have sold the 75 and moved on to a 40 breeder. I'll keep you guys updated on the build.

Cheers!

I read posts from oldest to newest so I didn't realize you were building a 40B when I commented on Tomoko's BRS thread.

Yeah... Rick got me in a headlock and told me I had to start a tank. You put him up to it didn't you Trish!

Yes I did. He was regressing back to the old gamer since he took down the 75. Never see him when he is in that mode and definitely no intellectual stimulation their for him..lol

700GPH Glass Holes overflow and return came I today!

Thanks! I'm ready to get the stand built so I can fill it with water!

I have one on my 75 and I absolutely love it! Just don't get frustrated if it turns out to be a little louder than what you'd hoped for at first. It sounds odd...but in time it will quiet down. My protein skimmer is super quiet, but now even it's louder than the overflow. The box and the plumbing build up a slime coat that cuts down on water turbulence over time, mine took around a month or two. Also, not sure how you plan on plumbing it, but switching from all hard sch40 PVC to SpaFlex where it makes the bend into the sump helped the most by far.

I had an HOB overflow on my 75gal. I'm sure it would not be much louder than that. Thanks for the tip on the plumbing!
