Opinion on Protien skimmer JBJ 45

So, I bought my JBJ 45 used which came with a Remora HOB skimmer w/ maxi jet 1200. It works fine for the most part. Not much skimmate even though I see it bubbling. At most a dark tea color with the neck being dirty. I don’t ever really remember it really filling up. It is very touchy. I’ve been debating the idea of “upgrading” it to the Tunze 9004 DC. What do you all think?

Really? That’s quite a price jump to the next model and I’m not sure if it will fix in the back of a JBJ 46 AIO
