120 gallon tank that's roughly 48" wide and 24" deep, currently running 2 AI Hydras 32HD but found my lens has a burnt so possibly looking for different lights. I like the look of 2 lights and have someone local selling Ecotech Gen5 XR15 Pro, would 2 of those be fine or should I look for XR30s?
Have a mix tank and won't have much SPS in the future

2-3 orphek OR3-120 bars will do wonders
2- blue plus
1- sky blue

i run 2 XR30 blues over my 120g in a mixed reef and it is enough light. i find the G5 spread is considerably better than the older generations. however, had i went for XR15's i would have went with 3.

I have 3 XR15's over the same sized tank. Could probably go with two if you didn't to supernova the top rocks. Pic for reference (gets wet next week):

Lots of light options out there that will do the trick, some mentioned before but others like reefi led, ghl, phillips, neptune, orphek atlantik, etc will work and are all good lights. I would wait until black friday and see which has the best sales unless it is an emergency and you need to change lights asap

2 xr 15 should be fine with sps in the correct places though imo, again there should at least be a slight sale and you can get the full warranty if new

That is what I am wanting just about same size as you have tank.
2 would be nice if they have a 2 for 1 sale hahahaha

Ecotech recommended spread for the XR15s is 18x18". Do you have a center brace?

Up to 24x24 actually... the XR30's are up to 36x36.

That's going to depend on 'recommended' v 'up to.'

Beautiful tank if I may ask? Weill you be running sps heavy or lps? I have a 120 gal and I’m running ten xr 15’s mix of blues and 2 pros for a little different spectrum too add. Think that shot only had the 7 lol but will send another!! Wondering if I can over lite it!!

What do you have your lighting setting set to? I have the same tank and same lighting as you. I am struggling with bleaching out corals.
