Opinions needed on floor strength

So I’m considering a 100 gallon tank but am a little concerned about the floor. The tank is 48x30. My joists are 2x8 ,16 oc . The room is 9.5 x 13.5 . Drawing is as close to scale as I can make it. Floor is good shape no holes or damage to any joist. I can’t really reinforce the floor as it’s over a dirt floored crawl space. Opinions as to whether or not my floor can take it?

Looks good to go imo. Plenty of support there for a 100gallon. Nice to see 16 OC and not 24”

I have a 90 DT with a 50G sump and what I did was sister the joists below the tank and added blocking (crossbracing) across the floor.

Blocking transfers load to adjoining joists, stiffing the floor considerable. Don't do this just below the tank, go across the total room. Note that I have "X" blocking, but solid blocking works just as well.

This took some of the "bounce" out of the floor.

I agree with no issues for 100 gallons. I have a 180 over a crawl space. However, if you are paranoid like me then you can reinforce with these bad boys. As long as the outer diameter is 3.0 inches then it can be used on a permanent basis.

I think you will be fine. If you want peace of mind a couple floor joist jacks will do.

I’m no structural engineer so the best answer I can give is that I would put a tank there and not worry about it at all.
With it over a crawl space then you could always pour a few concrete pads and add supports if you’re worried about it.

Pulled the trigger this morning!! Innovative Marine 100 gallon peninsula and stand!! Cant wait for it to get here!!

No issue for strength but since tank will be in middle of joist length would expect some bounce. Strapping or blocking along the middle should be a cheap easy fix. Do it before you have the weight of the tank there for the win. All three options, without going down to the dirt/floor, pictured below
