Opinions on aquascape

I think you would get more enjoyment out of your aquascape if you try to incorporate some caves, holes, pass troughs etc. I started with a wall of rock look, and I am happy that I switched gears and started to bore out holes and create ledges in my structure. I think it will be so much more interesting when you have fish flowing through your structures than just in front of them.

Thank you for you suggestions. I'll take another look at what I have and see what I can incorporate. Great ideas! Thank you again.

That's it! I really like the one where a piece of pukani was used, cut, sanded then the magnet attached. It looks a little more natural.
Just Facebooked Alternative reef

Good find. They have a lot of nice pieces.
Not helping you though:) after looking at alternative reef, I would stick that big rock in the middle and suspend it using a pvc and eggs crate light grate. You can cover the pvc with stonefix and have the big rock about and inch above the sand bed. Then I would get the overflow cover pieces from Alternative reef of cover the overflow. Leave the rest of the tank open. Check this guys build out Lasse is really doing it up. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/lasses-dream-build.246188/#post-2890795

That's a clever idea. Maybe instead of white PVC use clear acrylic or clear PVC. I took a look at AR on Facebook and that overflow cover is nice but I found a listing on a website for the cost and i do not think I could swing it. I could also use the extra rock not attached to the wall to cover the overflow, and/or I also have a fairly large piece that I was going to use to put in front of the overflow if I go with covering the back glass.
That is a great start to that tank. I really like the way the rock hides the equipment. It's going to look awesome.

I look forward to seeing the finished scape. Those guy across the pond have some great ideas with scaping.

I always wondered in the past why members asked were the should place there rock work in the past, now looking back it is a very smart move. I should have done this. I do like my rock work but know what I have read from other members is would still have the same rock work but like I state earlier I would have glued my rock so that I was not using the glass to support the rock work. Have a good day.

I wanted to get see other people opinions. Of course I should also have my own input into it since i'm going to be the one looking at it but I might get suggestions that I never thought of and incorporate them into it.
