Opinions on quieting my drain please

Good afternoon guys, i recently upgradedy sump on the 40 breeder from a 10g to 20g long, I cut all the pieces myself and also upgraded my soft plumbing to piped.

I knew it would be louder having more 90 bends than it was with the curve of soft pvc. Most the noise seems to be coming from the filter sock area, take a look at this pic and see if you can't give me a few ideas.

The reason I made this design in first place is because I wanted the filter sock removal to be much more easy.. just pull out and replace, whereas the old design I had to rearrange a few things, including straining the flex pipe to a corner of the sump in order to lift the sock out. I included an old pic as well with the soft black line.

Unfortunately I only have one drain with no room for additional. I don't believe that muffler would work

put overflow pipe into sock so it's under water

Here is the solution . Took your advice about submerging pipe under water but moved the sock to the side. I also made a little muffler for the sock Soo much quieter now the gf has quit her nagging!
