Was looking for opinions on my rock work, trying to provide cave areas and nooks and crannies for fish to be able to hide in. I have checked all around the edges of the rock and glass and there is enough room to get my magfloat past. Sorry about the water spots on the glass.

personally i like less symmetry
i would make one bigger pile and one smaller - use three of the big rocks and a couple small on on pile and the other large and one small on the other
lots of options of course though

yeah I think I would use the 2 shelf pieces and lay them flat and in front of 2 rock piles. Use those for zoas and such. try not to over think it.

Looks good...if everything is to your liking , then it's a job well done...I'll be posting my aquascape tonight, preparing the tank in the meantime. All part of the fun!

Thanks, think I am satisfied with it. Going to give it time and see, have some barnacles that came with my live rock that I am thinking of putting in. Once the water clears up will have to post a picture with the sand in. Definitly did not want to go with the rock wall look.

take the flat rocks out and it will look a lot more natural, they really throw your scape look off IMO, also while scaping you need to pre plan what type of corals you are going to add....if I am correct that looks like a 72 bow...I had the same tank and it is very hard to scape...the rock you are using looks really bulky and will be hard to create a scape with caves with...try using some other type of rock and that may help...but what it all comes down to is if you like it or not, you are the one going to be spending all the time looking at it.

I would add more rock, if this is your first tank, you will want some more biologicall filtration. More rock means a little less maintenance, as water changes can be less frequent. Looks good so far other than that :)

Okay did a little bit of more changing around, took some rock out and added some other pieces in. Actually before I read your post anemonekeeper. What are the thoughts? Yes Reefer831 it is a 72 gallon bowfront tank.

Pretty cloudy right now since have been adding water over the last 24 hours but can still see
