What are you planning on putting in the tank? It is really fine, it'll create dust-ups easy and takes a bit to settle especially if your wavemaker is going.

Mostly fish that swim in the upper part of tank which is why I feel like it'll be fine. I feel like problems will arise finding the right amount and angled flow to keep detritus from settling but not creating a dust storm.

The only thing attaching me to this sand is I absolutely love the look of it.

I get the draw, I wanted to go that route originally in my 100g but I also wanted SPS that need a lot of flow... it is an interesting challenge to keep it clean, not to mention water changes and vacuuming. Cerith/nassarius snails might be pretty effective at keeping it clean though. Should look into it if you haven't already.
