Opinions on seal

Looking for opinions on this seal, front of a 40 breeder that is new, the rest of the tank looks fine, just not sure about the circled area.

Is that the silicone actually between the two panes of glass, or is it the extra "corner" silicone that covers the inside corner?

I feel dumb, I think its just the way I was looking. Looking straight on its not visible at all, only visible when viewing at a slight angle, and I didn't notice it before, but looks like there was excess silicone on the outside at that spot.

I was gonna ask if silicon as well. I just painted the backs of 4 of them and had the same.
