Hi all, placed the rock on cardboard, moved to tank and it all went to hell as it was never quite the same.

Never the less, interested in opinions.... I will be adding sand as soon as I lock this down. It is my first reef, and whilst I’m not sure on corals yet, want my fish to be happy in the first instance.

Looks good, plenty of space away from the glass, the fish will like the caves to weave in and out and good height for the corals.

I think it looks really good....I would pull those two tiny rocks out though that are sitting on the bottom. They are just going to get lost in the sand.

Looks great!

Just make sure there is enough of a gap for your magnet cleaner.

looks great. you created little caves for your fish to dart into if they feel stressed or to sleep. set the rock to work around the overflow while creating separate structures & the amount of rock used looks just about perfect for the size of the tank. nice job.

Looks a heck of a lot better than my wall of stones used to. Like the islands, multi-levels for corals, caves for fish. Great job!

Very nice work you have done here. My first aquarium looked like someone had just thrown the rock in the tank without thinking of anything hehe. What I like most is that you have it very open and a lot of good swimming space for the fish.

If there was one thing I would have changed, it was to lift the small stones that I have marketed in the picture with some acrylic rods or something. The reason for this is as someone has written over that the stone will disappear in the sand when you add it . I would not have removed them as these small rocks can be good to have GSP or other corals that spread very fast.

Good luck with your new reef tank :)

Thanks for the input guys. Had a few changes when trying to glue it all together. I always knew the tiny rocks out front would get swallowed by sand but will replace them soon for Zoa inlands and such. Happy with how things are looking. Cycle nearly cooked so fish very soon and pretty danged excited.
