im hoping to get some opinions on what you might do.

i personally cannot willfully let fish die because of something. i was going to let nature take its course, but it pains me to watch.

i have two tanks. a 20g and a 65g.
i have 4 clown fish. 2 in each tank. we will call the two in the 20g as "pair 1" and the ones in the 65g as "pair 2"

pair 1 are the more mature of the two pairs, so they are larger than pair 2, but not by huge amounts.
ultimately, i would love to combine both tanks, but having 2 sets of clowns, with their current stages, will probably end in death for one or two, which again, i want to avoid. the only thing holding this back is the clowns, but i also dont want to get rid of fish, just for the sake of combining tanks.

pair two have been paired for a few months now. all was good up to about 4 days ago. the larger of the two, which i presume to be the female, has gotten very aggressive toward the other. easiest way i can say is that, it is more than the average behavior of a clown trying to display dominance. all fins on the male are tattered, he does have some marks on his body, he is actively being chased all day, so he is very stressed out. i was hoping that he would just submit, but it doesnt seem that hes going to. he doesnt do the submit shake at all. in fact, the female does it to him as if she is trying to show him how its done. right now, i have him in a mesh breeder to give him some relief.

with the way its going, this pair 2 will either end up in two fish alive, but one of them looking like it went 12 rounds with tyson, or 1 alive, and the other dead because of going 12 rounds with tyson. at this point, i feel that its going to end in the latter of the two. so, how to alleviate this, i guess is a good question. seperating them is all that seems to be an optioin right now, but if i do that, then it leaves me with keeping one of the fish from pair 2, and hopefully finding a replacement fish to make up the pair. or just keeping one as a single. i love the way both of them look. personally, i like the look of the female more, so i would be inclined to keep her, but if she is this agressive, i fear that adding a new one would just end in death quick. if i keep the male, i feel he would go ok if i were to get a smaller size than what he is.

ive been thinking. do i keep one from pair 2 and keep the setup as is, do i get rid of both from pair 2 and move pair 1 to the 65, do i keep one from pair 2 and put that one into a small 5 gal? do i keep 3 tanks (65g and 2x5g) and keep all of the fish? keep a 10 or 20g split it with a divider and keep both in that, and move pair 1 to the 65g tank

i guess i would like to see what everyones input is. im having a hard time deciding, because they all seem have an outcome that i dont want.

i would also like your thoughts on adding the fish together. my assumption is that there will be death if i do it, but if i add the male to the larger paired couple already, what are the chances? i assume that if i add the female from pair 2 to pair 1, it will be a skirmish right away in which that female will certainly die.

this is not a pic of the male, but this is similar to what he looks like. he just has orange around his whole face, with no black there, and orange within his dorsal fins.
