Ah ok:/ tyIf water gets underneath which it will, it will mold up over time, stick to the desk and prob ruin the top more than nothing underneath.
agree, remove cardboard. Cardboard will absorb water and defeat any purpose you may be intending. If you are trying to have a mat to fix a little leveling problem, there are fish mats out there. You might also be better off leveling under what the tank is setting upon. For instance, if that is a shelf, instead level shelf, then when you set tank on shelf, shelf is level so aquarium is level. Be sure to level front to back and side to side.My boyfriend says the cardboard underneath is not a smart move. Does the cardboard underneath matter?![]()
I just put it under there so it was easy to slide around lol. I hope there's not a leveling problem now that you say thatagree, remove cardboard. I bought a cheap silicone black mat online with the intent to cut bits off and put under pumps, but instead I left it whole and it has turned out to be protective mat under my QT tank to protect wooden bookshelf top from water where my QT tank sits when setup.
