hello,

i just got an ai prime, installed it about half hour ago. i've been trying to look for the best settings with my setup.

the light is about 4" above the water, with soft corals (mushrooms) between 10"-12" deep. that's it! any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks! also, if people want to share their own settings that would be cool too.

Shoot an email to JKS aquatics. I think that's what Shawn uses on his cube.

bump.

sidenote: could we have a sticky devoted to ai prime settings users have? this way there's one, easy-to-find, dedicated place users can look as a reference for different setups they have?

anyways, this what i went with:

prime settings 1.png

sunrise/sunset: 7am-8pm
ramp: 2hrs
peak: 2pm with uv-78% / violet-80% / royal-53% / blue-53% / green-14% / red-14% / cool white-78%
lunar:
9pm-5am with violet-2% / royal-3% / blue-1% / green-1%
acclimation:
1 month at 50% reduction across the board
weather: 8pm-8am / 50% prob / 30% intensity

I run David Saxby setting on my 32. I have the light at 30% acclimation till 2021 so it won’t go up any higher because I do not know any other way to drop everything at one Time. It’s hard to set up a schedule on just my phone so I just copied someone else’s. Corals have been happy so whatever works right

yeah, as far as i know, you would have to drop each point individually. but if you have a computer, you can login at https://my.aquaillumination.com/login.html
it's way easier to control and adjust each single color

i actually just figured out how you drop all values at once:

if you place two fingers on your phone as if you’re zooming in, you can bring all values up or down as you drag both fingers accordingly

Any reason you have you light light at only 4" AWL? One other thing that sticks out to me is your lunar schedule seems high to me. I have a hydra 26HD on a biocube 32 and if I were to run those percentages for lunar lights it would be way too bright. It might be different on yours with only the one puck VS the 2 on the 26

no particular reason other than i decided to retrofit it into my hood.

i'm not sure what the par readings are and whatnot but i'll go ahead and lower them just to be safe
