Hi,
I am trying to match Alkalinity to nutrients for a varied LPS tank. My ALK is very stable always very near 10..dosing 2 part for ALK and CA. CA always mid 400s. I use Fritz salt reef pro 2 x month 30 gallon change for 210 gallon tank plus sump. PHOS had been steady around .05 to .06 but recently jumped to 0.12 not sure why. Nitrates have been low at around 5. Feed beenereef 3 x week and rods food daily for fish/corals. Have had a hard time lately with ACANs and some Favia ....so was wondering if my AlK is ok with my typical nutrient levels? Or are LPS not as susceptible to ALK burn like SPS. Seems like the ACANs and Favia are tending to waste away but Euphyllia doing well. Not sure if that change in PHOS recently could be a cause (didn’t think 0.12 was real critical). I believe I have them in low enough flow. What is the best ALK/nutrient combo for LPS?
thanks much for any ideas
