Optimal Lighting

I have a 40 gallon breeder tank with a Sunlight Supply Tek Light T-5 fixture (6 bulbs). How high off the water do you guys think the light fixture should be? I would like good growth and excellent color. Thanks for any input

I have yet to work with T-5's Chelsey, but hopefully Larry (Zepplin) will see this and offer some advice. I know he's been running some T-5 set-ups for a while now.
