So this may apply to all aquariums, but I'm trying to figure out the best place to position my Plank auto-feeder so that most of the food doesn't go straight into my filter chamber. There may be a chance I'm overthinking it, but I wanted to pose the question as I'm about to get a lid for my aquarium, so I need to determine a permanent spot.

My current setup has the plank on the back left corner opposite the chamber. However, I do have a ReefWave 25 with flow directors split between facing the chamber wall (so it pushes right back) and then the other towards the front of the aquarium to move everything in the right direction. My other spot is the opposite corner (front right), but my anemone has made that his home, so that's a bit tricky.

I've included pics below, but any thoughts + tips would be greatly appreciated.

As long as you didn’t cut the down port too short and it feeds into a power head to broadcast, I don’t think you have to worry about specific placement. I am to the point my fish come and grab the food immediately as it comes out and very little actually gets broadcasted

Good point - thanks!

I have the plank autofeeder and LOVE it. You should be able to install it anywhere you want. The plank does such a good job soaking the food before it leaves the tube, I find very little goes down the overflow.

Oh yeah it's been great! Now that I have it configured via my Hydros it's amazing.
