Or3 orphek led bar. How to use /add lighting

Hi all thanks for reading.

I just ordered a or3 blue plus bar 24 inch. Can't wait to try it out.

I wanted to ask what people's thoughts are on how to use it and or what to use it with?

I have a 20 long Reef. I currently am using a 4*24 t5 ho grow light and things seem to be going alright. For this size tank would I be better off to get a 2 bulb t5? Or just mount it to my existing fixture? I also have one gen 1 AI prime and a aquaknight v2 that I pair sometimes.

What would you guys reccomend using it with ?

I plan on getting the reef day plus or3 after a few months as well.

Oh by the way. I have a few bulbs.

1 6500k, giesseman aqua blue coral, aqua blue azure, 2 blue plus, 1 purple plus, 1 ati actinic

Honestly your 4 bulb T5 shouldn’t have any issue with your 20 Long. Adding 2 OR3 bars is going to be overkill on your tank especially if you get the reef day plus.

Id probably run 2 Blue +, purple + and actinic and have one blue plus OR3 bar. Maybe a second blue plus if you really wanted it. I prefer a blue tank though.

Hey thanks for the reply.

I ended up using the or3 blue plus with one AI prime. I had an aluminum stand which sits on my tank. I screwed the or3 on the back of it with the included hardware. Then I found a bolt that fit the AI prime. So then I drilled a hole in the center horizontally and mounted the AI in the middle. They're sitting about 22 inches above my sand bed. I put up a pic with what I done .

The blue plus probably has enough par and with the AI on as well it's probably good enough. My montis are growing on the top of my scape no problem.

One reef day an one blue plus would easily work for your tank.
So would all the other options you have.
Current setup as well.
Many led reefers in my area are going to all Orphek bars with great results.
I use mine as supplental day/night
viewing on my 120.

those with the orphek bars, what app do you use to connect? Can't find something for my 120 OR3..
